sums up this episode perfectlyBrittany’s reaction = fandom reaction.
You know what highlights Glee’s sexism perfectly? The fact that, since the relationship at the focus of this story line is between 2 girls, they have to bring in a male to fix things.
You’re telling me that Brittany couldn’t have been the one consoling Santana? She’s been doing it up until now, why change that? Oh wait, because then none of the male characters would be able to gain hero status.
I’m sorry, but there is no reason that Santana’s coming out should have in any way been influenced by Finn Hudson. Especially after 3x06 - it’s just adding salt into the wounds.
The rest of the girls could have rallied around her, and even Puck and Mike. Why was it necessary for it to be Finn? The only reason it would have made sense is if it was so they could address the fact that he outed her - which they didn’t. even. do.
Santana is going through one of the toughest times of her life right now and we saw no interaction with her girlfriend.
I just don’t understand why this is happening. It genuinely confuses me.
Cuz Finn was right. He was the only who actually CALLED he out on her self hatred, Brittany loves her, but doesnt help her. She tells her she likes girls yes, but she doesnt tell her that coming out will help her, doesnt even know she hates herself. Because Brittany is dumb. Not even an airhead, genuinely stupid. If she caught all it and helped her? I wouldntve thought it was genuine.
